This print is from the Spooky Lakes: 25 Strange and Mysterious Lakes that Dot Our Planet book!

These high-quality, beautiful Giclée prints are made locally in Madison, Wisconsin. The texture of the paper and the high-definition scan combined means that this print looks just like my original painting! The paper is soft and beautiful, with the texture of the original watercolor paper I used to make my painting!

The SS Kamloops, a small “canaller” freighter, vanished on icy Lake Superior in December 1927 with all 22 crew aboard. When divers finally found her, they discovered a perfectly preserved time capsule: Life Savers candy, toothpaste, and even the eerily intact body of a crewman nicknamed “Old Whitey” still floating inside. To make things even darker, a bottled note from a stewardess washed ashore later, reading: “I am the last one left alive, freezing and starving to death on Isle Royale.”

8"x10"

The original artwork was gouache on watercolor paper. This edition is Giclée printed on watercolor, 100% cotton rag, acid-free, archival paper.

Editioned, titled and signed with the year I painted it (2024)

Your print will be carefully packaged with a backing board in a protective cover, then wrapped inside a rigid mailer to ensure it's protected during shipping.
